Me Claude Benabou

Me Claude Benabou is a member of the Quebec Bar association since 1988. He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1987, having won the “Prix du Barreau Du Quebec”, a prize granted to the law student having the highest grades in civil law and civil procedure.

He began his career at the law firm of Mendelsohn Rosentveig Schachter, now McMillian Binch, where he gained experience in the field of commercial litigation. He participated in high profile litigation files at Mendelshon, pleading an array of legal cases on the merits, instituting injunctive proceedings, seizures, and mortgage suits for banks,  private lenders, shopping centers and mid to large sized corporations.

In 1993, M. Claude Benabou became partner at the law firm of Yanofsky Cooperstone , a smaller boutique type law firm catering to small and mid-sized corporations. He continued in his expertise as a civil and commercial litigator, adding several other legal fields such as tax litigation and corporate law. He remained there until 2001, establishing his private law firm, ultimately leading to Benabou and Associates.

Since 2001, M Claude Benabou, has headed a legal firm comprised of various specialized attorneys and paralegals in several different fields of law such as civil law, estate law, family law, tax law , intellectual property , administrative law, employment law , and immigration law.

M  Claude Benabou leads a team of bilingual jurists in Quebec, Canada, apt to effectively represent clients before the courts, tribunals, and in their legal dealings as a whole.
